SynopsiTV works to ensure that you will be satisfied with the movies you watch. Because our recommendations are based only on you.

How do we do it?

Your Opinion Counts, Literally.

While other sites base their recommendations only on similarity or popularity of movies, SynopsiTV’s recommendation system relies on your reviews and trends. It is all about you.

From the moment you register a profile, we use information you provide about

• what you watch
• how you rate it

to create a list of recommended movies and TV shows - not based on your social network or what is popular - but based on the trends of what you are currently watching and interested in, based on what we know you will enjoy.

So at this point it requires that you log in and rate whatever you have just watched, but the plan is to have our system automatically integrated into viewing platforms so that it can detect what you watch and only ask you for the rating when you finish. The more data you input, the more specific and personal your recommendations will be. 

Finding good entertainment, tailored to suit you, has never been so simple.

In The Meantime, Make It Social.

What about when you are sitting around the house on Sunday evening and Mom suggests watching a movie together. What do you watch with your Mother? 

There aren’t too many things you are both interested in, and you don’t want to offend her good taste. You also don’t want to waste your time watching something just to please her. 

So you sit down together and go through previews. 2, 3...6...8...and after this hour of indecision has passed you end up so frustrated that you pick number 4, just because.

Making smart movie choices shouldn't be discouraging.

SynopsiTV eliminates the question of what to watch with whom. One of our favorite features is the Compared Watch Later Lists with friends. Visit the profile of another user to see a list of what movies you both want to see.

Impress your date by choosing a movie both of you will enjoy. 

SynopsiTV works like a social networking site. You can import friends from other sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and build your followers by finding recommended users who share similar taste in entertainment. View movie compatibility ratings, message, and subscribe to other user’s playlists.

What We Don’t Do 

We don't host streaming or downloads.

We don’t rely on general rating systems, social networks, or even one-off recommendations because we don’t believe these represent your personal taste. 

SynopsiTV is two things. A personalized recommendation service and a social network centered on entertainment. The goal is one, though, to enhance the enjoyment of your entertainment experience.
